Thanksgiving!!

Nate and I went home to Vegas this Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time with the family! My mom made some amazing stuffing that Nate loved (which I will post under the breads section above). She also made a pumpkin pie, using goats cheese for the filling and pretzels for the crust. It looked fabulous! The pie didn't end up tasting that great, but the crust was delicious, so we decided that next time we'd use a different recipe (Nate's mom has a great pumpkin recipe I'll post) and the pretzel crust with it. I made an apple pie that was gluten, dairy, and sugar free as well. The crust was a pain to make, and very difficult to work with. The texture didn't turn out too well either, but in the end, it all tasted great, which Nate's stomach can testify because he ate the whole pie himself! So next time I'll try using a different crust recipe instead, but keep the filling the same. This thanksgiving will not be soon forgotten, with all of the delicious foods, cooking experiments, and friends and family we shared it with. If anyone needs any of the recipes we used (we made more than just these two pies) or has any questions, don't hesitate to contact me, I'm more than willing to help!
